Julia Stamberger, Co-Founder, President Julia started GoPicnic to bring the concept of good tasting, nutritious shelf-stable meals to new markets that could take advantage of the unique product to assist them with saving costs, generating ancillary revenue, and creating customer goodwill and loyalty. Most recently, Julia held the position of Business Development Manager for Onboard Retail programs at United Airlines, where she was responsible for conceiving, developing and launching United's shelf-stable buy-on-board meal program and the ExPlus first class snackbox meal program, now on over 700 daily United, Ted, and United Express flights.
Julia has extensive experience starting and advising start-up companies; GoPicnic is her third venture. In 1999, she founded internet travel content venture worldspyder.com, and later started turn-about, inc., a not-for-profit company focused on hosting events to help displaced technology workers learn networking techniques and quickly find new jobs; over 4,000 people participated in turn-about's programs. Julia also has experience as a business strategy consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and understands first hand the needs of the hungry business traveler looking for food at 10:30 at night - she wishes that GoPicnic boxes had been available back then! Julia holds BA and BS degrees from Miami University of Ohio and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
